Come celebrate with us! Join us at Mira Mesa Library for a special book launch and reading event featuring a new Vietnamese and Asian American children’s book collection. Enjoy a book reading by two award-winning authors, explore the new collection, join in arts and crafts activities, and celebrate language, literacy, and representation in our community. Light refreshments will be provided, and all are welcome to attend!
This event was made possible through funding from the San Diego City Council Community Projects, Programs & Services Award, awarded to District 6 and the SDSU Bilingual Development in Context Lab. This collection brings new resources to the Mira Mesa Library community.

Mira Mesa Library
Since opening at its current location in 1994, Mira Mesa Library has one of the largest collections in the San Diego Public Library system with items in multiple languages including Tagalog, Chinese, Hindi, Korean, Vietnamese and Spanish. The 20,000-square-foot facility offers children's programs, a teen center and special events throughout the year. Artist Larry Kirkland created the piece "Three Rings" attached to several pillars inside the library featuring the themes Wonder, Explore, Search and Nurture in words and images.
