18th Annual Wheelchair Dancers Organization Showcase

Imagine a place where dancers of all abilities share the stage — this is the heart of (WDO) Wheelchair Dancers Organization!

Every year, WDO hosts an annual showcase to share our talented dancers with the greater San Diego dance/arts community. This year’s 18th Annual WDO Showcase theme is Different Abilities, Endless Possibilities — join us in celebrating 18 years of inclusive dance!

Guest artists include Melómano Dance & Entertainment, Dancers With Heart, The Autism Tree, San Diego Smooth Dancers, Palomar Smooth Dancers, Performing Arts Workshop, Kathak Darshan School of Dance, Tierra Caliente Academy, Vika Hernandez, Lekha Motiwala, Trevor Van Orden, Karmyn Cruise + James Veigel, and Michele Jones; and our first cross border collaboration with Ballet Teletón de Tijuana!

Who: WDO performers and MANY other mission-driven San Diego dancers, and choreographers, and organizations

What: Different Abilities, Endless Possibilities (WDO's 18th Annual Showcase)

When: Sunday October 04, 2026 (12 p.m. - 3 p.m., doors open at 11 a.m.!)

Notable WDO performances include the Jason Mraz Foundation’s Dream (2026) and Kaleidoscope (2024), the San Diego County Fair, the Old Globe's AXIS event, World Rhythm & Dance Festival, Shock n' the Park, and Southwestern Community College's Opening Day. WDO offers accessible dance classes in Ballroom, Bollywood, Afro-Caribbean Fusion, Ballet, and more – and WDO continues to provide reduced-cost access to our inclusive classes through scholarships and tuition waivers!
