Flower Arranging Workshop + Mocktails: Breast Cancer Awareness Benefit

For October, our monthly Flower Arranging 101 workshop at Good News takes on a little extra meaning.

Join Native Poppy for a special morning of flowers, creativity, and connection in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. We’ll gather at Good News, Hillcrest’s beautifully designed non-alcoholic cocktail lounge and gathering space, to create something beautiful while supporting a cause that touches so many lives.

10% of the proceeds from every ticket to this workshop will be donated to Susan G. Komen, whose mission is to save lives by investing in breakthrough research to prevent and cure breast cancer.

In this beginner-friendly workshop, you’ll learn the fundamentals of floral design while creating a lush seasonal arrangement to take home. Working with a thoughtfully curated selection of seasonal and locally grown flowers, we’ll explore flower selection, color harmony, movement, and the mechanics that help arrangements feel natural, balanced, and abundant.

After the workshop, enjoy a handcrafted coffee or non-alcoholic cocktail from Good News, included with your ticket. Their thoughtful approach to hospitality and beverage-making has made them one of San Diego’s most exciting new gathering spaces.
