Presented by United Women of East Africa Support Team

Date: November 10, 2026, at 4 p.m.

Where: Liberty Station Conference Center, sponsored by Point Loma Nazarene University.

Our Mission:

United Women of East Africa Support Team is a cultural hub providing services and advocacy to cultivate resilience, self-sufficiency, and well-being in San Diego’s East African community.

The inspiration behind the event

Imagine stepping into a vibrant community space where the heart of the gathering is a powerful East African drum circle alive with rhythm, unity, and cultural expression. Around you, families, leaders, and community members are dancing, engaging, and celebrating together. As you move through the marketplace, you’re welcomed with authentic flavors, sips, and bites representing the many countries of East Africa. You see artisans showcasing handcrafted work, each piece carrying a story of heritage, resilience, and identity.

Every corner reflects cultural wealth, artistic excellence, and the deep-rooted beauty of East African traditions. Now imagine this is your afternoon, an opportunity not only to experience culture, but to connect with a community, engage with partners, and witness the impact your support makes possible.

This is the kind of immersive, meaningful experience we aim to create; one that brings people together, strengthens community bonds, and highlights the power of collaborative investment in our families, women, and youth.

Event Purpose:

A cultural impact celebration honoring East African heritage, its language, dance, food, and art, while bringing together our community partners, supporters, and donors in shared appreciation and connection.
