Breakthrough T1D Walk, San Diego, brings together individuals and local businesses who support and share Breakthrough T1D’s mission to accelerate life-changing breakthroughs to cure, prevent, and treat type 1 diabetes (T1D) and its complications – such as kidney, nerve, and eye disease. Thousands of participants from the San Diego T1D community will gather at NTC Park at Liberty Station for this event, which includes family friendly activities, resources and information from local T1D vendors, exciting contests and prizes, and a 1.3 mile walk. Participation in the Walk helps raise critical funds to power T1D research. The event is one of approximately 130 Breakthrough T1D Walks nationwide.

NTC Park at Liberty Station

The NTC Park is the fabric that weaves throughout all Liberty Station, connecting each district and inviting guests to walk, explore, and learn. NTC Park is owned and managed by the City of San Diego’s Park and Recreation Department. Facilities: Two Tot Lot Playgrounds, One Outdoor Basketball Court, Three Comfort Stations, Four MultiPurpose Fields (Field #1-4), Four Passive Picnic and Special Event Fields (Field B, C, D and I), One Large Special Event Field (Preble Field).
