The La Jolla Christmas Parade & Holiday Festival returns Sunday, December 6, 2026, for its 70th year with the theme, “A Village Christmas – Celebrating 70 Years of Holiday Tradition.”
The beloved La Jolla Christmas Parade begins at 1 p.m. and brings the streets of the Village to life with marching bands, creative floats, equestrian units, vintage vehicles, canine groups, community leaders, local schools, and service organizations.
The celebration continues at the La Jolla Recreation Center with the Holiday Festival from 1–5 p.m., featuring arts & crafts, hands-on educational activities, robotics and technology, community groups, local animal rescues, games, live music and performances, pony rides, bouncy houses, face painting, and a special visit with Santa following the parade.
New for 2026, the Village Christmas Market will feature local makers, artisans, small businesses, and vendors, offering a festive shopping experience as part of this year’s celebration. Sounds by the Sea, the festival’s live music and performing arts component, will feature performances throughout the afternoon on the Recreation Center lawn.
Admission is free, and the entire community is invited to join us for this milestone celebration in the heart of La Jolla.
