Archaeology Summer Camp

10 AM - 2:30 PM, ongoing daily from June 15, 2026 until June 19, 2026.

Full Session (Monday-Friday): $395 Daily Rate: $85 per day

The San Diego Archaeological Center is excited to announce our summer day camp for elementary school students! Whether your child or grandchild is a budding archaeologist or just eager to experience the past in a whole new way, our camp offers something for everyone.

Get ready for a week filled with adventure, discovery, and endless fun! Explore the Ice Age, Ancient Egypt, Kumeyaay Nation and more with hands-on learning. With our a la carte style day camp, you can choose individual days or choose them all! Space is limited to 30 campers.

Grades: 2-7

Dates: June 15-19

Hours: 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Extended care hours: Early drop-off (starting at 8:30 a.m.) and late pickup (ending at 4 p.m.) are available for an additional fee.

Full Session (Monday-Friday): $395

Daily Rate: $85 per day

Extended Care Hours: $20 per camper per day

The San Diego Archaeological Center is a museum where visitors can learn the story of how people have lived in San Diego County for the past 10,000 years. In addition to its role as a museum, the Center serves as an education and research facility and is the only local organization dedicated to the collection, study, curation and exhibition of San Diego County's archaeological artifacts. The San Diego Archaeological Center is a nationally recognized leader in the curation of archaeological collections, curating collections for the Department of Defense, City of San Diego and private parties. The Center accepts for accession archaeological collections to preserve in perpetuity for the benefit of the public. The Center museum is open to the public, with a suggested donation of $2 per person or $5 per family.
