The annual winter event, Botanic Wonderland at San Diego Botanic Garden, has become a local favorite tradition. The nighttime festivities provide families and friends the opportunity to stroll through the garden to enjoy outdoor holiday lighting and activities in a safe and carefully organized setting. Botanic Wonderland transforms the garden into a unique, winter experience and we are excited to welcome you and your group to enjoy it during an exclusive evening!
December 4 - 5, 10 - 23, 26 - 30 | 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. (last entry at 8 p.m.)
Key Features of Botanic Wonderland
- A designated 1+ mile pathway lit up with holiday lights that meanders through the Garden.
- Santa Claus will be on site from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. for photo-taking with children. Due to the anticipated large number of guests, we will have someone assigned to help with crowd control and keep guests moving.
- Letters to Santa writing activity for children to enjoy. A verity of other hands-on activities will be available.
- Professional carolers will stroll through the garden 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. entertaining guests by singing holiday favorites and adding to the overall ambiance of the seasonal event.
- There will be seating on the Gazebo Lawn near the food trucks. Each night different food vendors will be selling hot, freshly prepared food as well as hot and cold drinks.
- On select nights, the San Diego Woodturners will demonstrate how to work on a lathe and offer unique wood items for donation to support Turn Around for Veterans. Check their website https://sdwt.org/wood/ for their schedule.

Advance timed ticketing required. No daytime tickets or guest passes will be accepted.
