Carlsbad 5000: World's Fastest 5K
The Carlsbad 5000 road race has been a spring tradition in Southern California since 1986 and features a full weekend of running festivities.

Location: Carlsbad Village (Roosevelt and Carlsbad Village Drive)
10 a.m. to 3 p.m. – Race Kit Pick-up: Runners pick up their bibs, shirts, and experience all we have to offer at the Health & Fitness Expo

7 a.m. to 2 p.m. – Health & Fitness Expo
8 a.m. to 2 p.m. – Pizza Port Beer Garden (21+ ID Required)9:30 am to 1:30 pm – Post Race Concert feat. "BETAMAXX"

6:55 a.m. – Masters Men: 40 & Over (All Day 20K Race #1)
8 a.m. – Masters Women: 40 & Over (All Day 20K Race #2)
9:15 a.m. – Open Men 39 & Under (All Day 20K Race #3)
10:08 a.m. – Open Women 39 & Under (All Day 20K Race #4)
11:20 a.m. – Junior Carlsbad: Kids 1 Mile
11:40 a.m. – Junior Carlsbad: Kids 1/2 Mile
12:13 p.m. – People’s Race: Non-Competitive Men & Women, Joggers & Walkers of All Ages
1:20 p.m. – Elite Men
1:23 p.m. – Elite Women
Race Day Information: Please be aware that the course crosses two sets of railroad tracks. The tracks are active during the event and our staff closely monitors the train schedule. For the safety of all event participants, spectators, and volunteers, races may be stopped, delayed, and are subject to change at any time (including race day).
Please plan to arrive at the start line of your race at least 5 minutes before the published start time as actual start times are subject to change on race day in coordination with the train schedule.
