From Monday July 14 through Sunday July 20, Salt & Straw will enhance this year’s holiday with their very own National Ice Cream Week – debuting the never-before-seen Strawberry Shortcake Waffle Cone and accompanying Sundae, offering daily, special items and exciting prizes, and launching their new loyalty program.
Exclusive early access to special items and perks will be announced in real time on the Salt & Straw website and Salt & Straw app throughout the week, allowing guests to skip the lines at shops by placing their orders in advance via the Order Ahead feature on mobile, desktop or within the app.

Salt & Straw’s National Ice Cream Week offerings include:
- Special Items: From July 14-20, Salt & Straw will announce specials throughout the week in-store and online, including perks such as complimentary scoops for kids, free waffle cones daily (for those who enter their email and sign up for the Salt & Straw app), and more.
- New Toppings Program: On Monday July 14, Salt & Straw will launch their new toppings program, debuting craveable options such as:
- Chocolate Sauce sourced from Holy Kakow and made with Heirloom Peruvian organic cacao and organic cacao butter, Colombian sugar dark with molasses, and Himalayan pink salt
- Marionberry Coulis, a Marionberry Fruit Syrup from Oregon Growers made with blackberries, marionberries, cane sugar, and lemon juice
- Candied Nibs from Cloudforest Craque, candied cacao beans infused in beer, sugar, and salt
- Chocolate Granola, Dandelion Chocolate Breakfast Granola made with Camino Verde, Ecuador 70% chocolate and Costa Esmeraldas cacao nibs, blended with whole grain oats, puffed quinoa, hazelnuts, and coconut oil lightly sweetened with maple syrup, and finished with dried Michigan cherries, flaky toasted coconut, and sea salt
- Cherries sourced from Filthy, wild Italian Amarena cherries slow cooked in copper pots for a sweet and tart flavor
- Strawberry Shortcake Waffle Cone Launch: On Friday July 18, Salt & Straw shops nationwide will debut the never-before-seen Strawberry Shortcake Waffle Cone. Guests can enjoy it with the ice cream of their choice or as the Strawberry Waffle Cone Sundae (available exclusively on July 18), which features scoops of Salt & Straw’s Strawberry Honey Balsamic ice cream, topped with whipped cream and cherries on the new Strawberry Shortcake Waffle Cone.
- Double Points Day (Saturday July 19): For those who join Salt & Straw’s new loyalty program (sign up via the Salt & Straw app), users have the chance to earn double points on any in-store purchases and Order Ahead pick-ups.
- National Ice Cream Day Prize Card (Sunday July 20): The week’s festivities culminate on Sunday July 20, the official date of National Ice Cream Day, when every order at Salt & Straw shops and online will earn a free prize. For every order, guests will receive a digital scratch off card with prizes ranging from a free scoop, to a personal ice cream-making session with Salt & Straw chef, founder and cookbook author Tyler Malek.
