"Chrysanthemum" is a solo photography exhibition by visual artist Eugenia Brodsky at WRFAC Gallery (Walter Redondo Fine Art Collection). Shot on film, the series brings together cinematic, atmospheric photographs: portraits of the artist's children and dreamlike scenes, alongside landscapes and still lifes. The title comes from a haiku by Yosa Buson: "Before the white chrysanthemum the scissors hesitate a moment." At its center is the artist's eldest son on the threshold of adolescence, and that delicate moment when innocence begins to shift and time holds its breath.
Opening reception: Friday, November 13, 5–8 PM. Hours: Saturday–Sunday, Nov 14–15, 12–5 PM; Monday, Nov 16, by appointment; Tuesday–Wednesday, Nov 17–18, 4–8 PM. All exhibited works are available for purchase. Free admission.
