Move over Thelma and Louise! When Lana Mae Hopkins, owner and proprietress of the Wishy Washy Washateria hires Katie Lane Murphy to help out in the laundromat, they soon find themselves up to their elbows in soap, suds, and cheatin’ hearts. Luminary Arts is pleased to present this hilarious country jukebox musical by Roger Bean (The Marvelous Wonderettes, Life Could Be a Dream) at the Patio Playhouse Theater November 11 to 20.

"Honky Tonk Laundry" features country music favorites by Carrie Underwood, Trisha Yearwood, Martina McBride, Sara Evans, The Chicks, Chely Wright, Dolly Parton, Pam Tillis, Gretchen Wilson, Terri Clark, Tammy Wynette, Patsy Cline, and our dear recently departed Loretta Lynn. Grab your cowboy boots for a night of laughs and toe-tapping tunes!

Patio Playhouse is a non-profit community service organization dedicated to providing entertainment for the Southern California community, to creating opportunities for people of talent and interest who wish to participate and/or perform and to providing training for individuals who wish to learn about theater art. Founded in 1967 by Curtis Babcock, Dale and Claude Baldridge, and Greg and Don Krueger, Patio Playhouse is the oldest continuously-operating community theater in San Diego County. It was first located in a 70-seat machine shop on Hale Avenue in Escondido, but has since moved to its current location on Kalmia Street.
