Legends of Science and Surfing

For the second year, Legends of Science and Surfing brings together leaders from academia, biotechnology, industry and the investment community to explore the future of cancer research and care. Hosted by Moores Cancer Center at UC San Diego Health, the two-day event begins with the Legends of Science Oncology Symposium on Friday, August 14, featuring keynote speaker Kevan M. Shokat, PhD, alongside renowned experts discussing breakthroughs in precision oncology, AI, drug discovery and next-generation clinical trials.

On Saturday, August 15, the tradition continues with the 33rd Annual Legends of Surfing Invitational, bringing together world-class surfers, scientists, cancer survivors and supporters to raise critical funds for groundbreaking cancer research and compassionate patient care. Together, these events celebrate innovation, collaboration and a shared commitment to advancing the future of cancer medicine.
