Lionfish Modern Coastal Cuisine, located at Pendry San Diego in downtown’s bustling Gaslamp Quarter, will debut “Martini Tuesdays” starting Jan. 13.
The new weekly event will invite guests to sip, savor and unwind with $6 martinis with the purchase of an entrée from 5 to 9 p.m. every Tuesday.
Ideal for a post-work pick-me-up or a leisurely night out, guests can pair the handcrafted $6 martinis with Lionfish’s bold, flavor-driven menu. The lineup includes an espresso martini, a lemon drop martini, a dirty martini and a rotating selection, starting with a passionfruit martini.
From land to sea, standout dishes crafted by Executive Chef and James Beard Smart Catch leader Jose “JoJo” Ruiz, include roasted truffle chicken with truffle butter, sourdough crust and chicken truffle jus; “angry” whole grilled fish with Thai basil, citrus, fermented chili, garlic butter sauce and grilled flatbread; and 36-ounce blue crab-crusted Black Opal Wagyu tomahawk, served with butter-braised asparagus and tarragon béarnaise; among others.
Lionfish offers a full menu of fresh-catch seafood, prime meats, locally sourced ingredients and expertly crafted cocktails. The restaurant is open from 5 to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday and from 5 to 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
