With vibrant flores, cafecito, and garden-fresh produce, the Chula Vista Farmers’ Market is a bounty for the senses. What started four years ago as a small gathering of farmers and artisans has flourished into a landmark destination for locals and tourists.

Every Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Park Way and Third Avenue, local artisans, business owners, and farmers come together to make the Chula Vista Farmers’ Market one of the most culturally rich and diverse markets in the country. With National Farmers' Market Week approaching this August, we’re celebrating and sharing the stories of the people who keep the city fresh, bountiful, and always Chula Vista.

National Farmers’ Market Week is all about trading in the grocery store aisles for open-air vendors where visitors can meet the face that grows their food. Scorpion Farms have been long-time farmer favorites of Chula Vista. With fresh, Southern California-grown produce in every color, it's easy to create a vibrant, rainbow-filled plate. Established in 1976, Hidalgo Flowers lines the market with brightly colored floral arrangements thoughtfully curated for each season and holiday.

Remember - no farms, no wine. Dancing Crow Vineyards tends 50 sustainable acres of grapes to bring their rosé, chardonnay and red blends to the market. Together, more than 100 tents full of local offerings create a shopping experience that perfectly reflects the spirit of this national week of celebration.

When it comes to the vendors, there is no shortage of variety. For locally made cosmetics, Bloom Elixirs is mixing up luxurious clean-ingredient curly hair and skincare potions with love. If you’re looking for a bite between purchases, try one of the local pop-ups like Bomb Bibimbap and Sam’s Bread.
