New Village Presents 'Final Draft New Play Festival' for Emerging Playwrights

New Village Arts is launching the Final Draft New Play Festival. Performances include 10 never before seen plays written by talented local playwrights, as well as delicious craft beers.

The festival will feature a variety of activities including the following:
Friday, April 1:
• Ten-Minute Play Festival at 6:30 p.m. | Join us for a night of exciting works by local playwrights and theatre makers from all across San Diego county!
• Opening Night Party on Friday, April 1 after Ten-Minute Play Festival at Pure Project Brewing. Free admission.
Saturday, April 2:
• "Weirdo, or (make Nice)" at 4 p.m. – Full length play, written by Simon Martin and directed by Hunter Brown
• "We Are the Forgotten Beasts" at 7:30 p.m. – Full length play written by Christian St. Croix and directed by Obinne Onyeador
Sunday, April 3:
• "All News Radio" at 2 p.m. – 1 Act Play written by Emma Caroline Lias and directed by Jaeonnie Davis-Crawford
• "The Somalis & the Semper Fi" at 5:30 p.m. – Full length play written by Morgan Kinally and directed by Milena (Sellers) Phillips
