Step Into the Life of an 1800s Sailor
Become the crew of "Star of India" on her historic 1874 voyage as the emigrant ship Euterpe, transporting 410 passengers to their new lives. You’ll work alongside our education instructors, as you get to raise sails, move cargo, and and explore areas of the ship closed to the public.
Saturday July 25, 2 p.m. – 8 a.m. the following morning

What to Expect:
Sleeping arrangements while aboard are similar to that of a traditional camping experience. Participants will sleep below on the deck among the exhibits.
Activities include:
Raising sails
Moving cargo
Learning sailor skills from the 1800s
Exploring areas of the ship normally closed to the public
Includes dinner and breakfast
Held dockside at the Maritime Museum of San Diego
Space is limited; advance registration required
Ages 6–17 must be accompanied by an adult
Minimum participation age is 6 years old
