El Chingon the “Bad Ass Mexican” hotspot at 560 Fifth Avenue in the Gaslamp Quarter, will raise awareness for men’s health this “Movember” with a mustache-themed fundraiser supporting the California IMPACT foundation.
On Sunday, Nov. 9 and Sunday, Nov. 23, guests can purchase a fun mustache accessory at the restaurant and receive a complimentary drink ticket in return, all while helping raise awareness and funds for prostate cancer treatment.
From 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. on both dates, guests can get involved in this playful, yet purposeful, campaign. Each mustache purchased will directly support the California IMPACT foundation, the largest prostate cancer treatment program in the country. The foundation provides free prostate cancer treatment and services to qualifying California residents, making a significant difference in the lives of those affected by the disease.
Mustache purchases are limited to two per person.
The complimentary drink tickets can be used towards standout cocktails including the Border Crossing Fruit Cart, made with Smirnoff Tamarind, pineapple, watermelon, dry curaçao, almond orgeat and chamoy with a Tajín rim, priced at $14; ¡Avenida Revolución!, mixing the tequila of the month, pineapple, lime, cream of coconut and dry curaçao, priced at $14; and Bad Hombre, a blend of spirit, lime, agave, mint, cucumber, and watermelon Red Bull, priced from $12 to $18 depending on tequila selection.
