Salt & Straw debuts the Strawberry Pretzel Cheesecake Tacolate

Salt & Straw debuts the Strawberry Pretzel Cheesecake Tacolate, a brand new flavor that joins the team’s growing suite of nostalgic, artisan ice cream tacos.

The Strawberry Pretzel Cheesecake Tacolate marks the first line extension of the Tacolate since its launch last year, and is now available in the freezers, alongside the original Cinnamon Ancho Tacolate, of all Salt & Straw shops.

Both Tacolate flavors stand as elevated odes to everyone’s favorite childhood treat, and – in true Salt & Straw fashion – utilize innovative flavors and ingredients dreamed up by Co-Founder and Head Ice Cream Maker Tyler Malek. The new Strawberry Pretzel Cheesecake Tacolate is a twist on a classic and features a hand-pressed waffle cone taco shell, filled with strawberry ice cream made with ripe Pacific Northwest berries, dipped in a cream cheese white chocolate shell, and sprinkled with crushed pretzels. These sweet, salty, tangy tacos will be served alongside a silky, vanilla bean cheesecake sauce.

“We’re obsessed with strawberry cheesecake in the Salt & Straw test kitchen, and the Strawberry Tacolate lets us take that combination to another level,” said Tyler Malek, co-founder and head ice cream innovator of Salt & Straw ice cream. “We pair fresh Pacific Northwest strawberry ice cream with cream cheese, white chocolate, and a salty pretzel crumble, all finished with a liquid cheesecake drizzle. The contrast of textures and flavors makes this one of my favorite creations.”
