The San Diego Model Railroad Museum's newest exhibit “Step Right Up” examines the history of circus trains. It displayed various train cars used by the circus and explained why they were used for the production. In addition to the cars, the exhibit also discusses the rise and fall of circuses popularity.
Museum Hours: Tuesday - Sunday 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
San Diego Model Railroad Museum
The San Diego Model Railroad Museum is the largest and only accredited scale Model Railroad Museum in the United States. SDMRM has collections of some of the first scale model trains ever to be built in the entire world! Plus, the museum has over 27,000 square feet of exhibiting layouts featuring the world famous Tehachapi Pass Exhibit, Historic San Diego and Arizona Eastern Exhibit, SoCal's Largest N'scale Exhibit, O-Guage Exhibit, and award winning Toy Train Gallery. The museum has extended summer hours.
