Adapted by Randy Courts and Mark St. Germain from a story by O. Henry Musical
Director: George Bailey
One more week-end to see "The Gifts of the Magi." East County Magazine calls it a "Timeless Christmas Romance." Don't worry though, there is lots of humor generated by the characters, especially Soapy, the bum with bum luck of good fortune who is doing his best to get a bed out of the cold in a jail cell. The music is live!
Keeping with the theme of Christmas and giving, we are having 3 raffles during each show! Come add "The Gifts of the Magi" to your Christmas celebration.
Follow Della and Jim Dillingham, who are straining to hold on to their dream of making it in New York, as they struggle with unemployment and the pressure to find each other the perfect gift. What makes a Christmas gift special? If you think it is how much you paid for it, then you have missed the point of giving. But if not price, then what is it? "The Gifts of the Magi" reminds us of what Christmas is really about.
