The "American Idol of ballet" or "ballet Olympics" comes to San Diego from March 12-15. Hundreds of talented dancers (ages 9 - 19) will audition for Youth America Grand Prix (YAGP) in hopes of receiving scholarships to top schools and companies worldwide. Auditions travel city-to-city around the world to scout these future ballet stars!
This is the second stop in San Diego due to overwhelming demand and talent!

WHAT: Hundreds of aspiring ballet dancers - ages 9 to 19 - from all over California will be at the Youth America Grand Prix (YAGP) ballet scholarship auditions. This is where the next big ballet stars are scouted. Participants go on to dance professionally for American Ballet Theatre, Paris Opera Ballet, Dutch National Ballet, New York City Ballet, and more!

The Joan B. Kroc Theatre & Performing Arts Center
Our fully equipped 33,000 square-foot Performing Arts Center consists of the Joan B. Kroc Theatre, two dance studios, band and orchestra room, vocal and instrumental practice rooms, and a large multipurpose conference room. The Joan B. Kroc Theatre has been utilized for thousands of events ranging from seminars and recitals to Broadway-quality shows and fundraisers. The theatre is fully equipped with seating for 540 people, a 2,732 square foot stage, motorized orchestra pit, scene shop, and support facilities including a green room, dressing rooms and other adjacent meeting spaces.
