The school's director Diane Borden says they want to put a greater focus on the three disciplines, particularly journalism. She says media's future is all about online reporting.

Borden : We feel that journalism is not dead, that it’s simply changing. And we want to be at the forefront of that change. We want to provide innovative curriculum for our students and we want to participate in the national discussion about the future of the media.

Students will be trained to write online news and learn how to weave in digital images and video. Borden says college officials will also be launching a media lab where students will work with journalists to produce online content.
