October Wildfire Victims Struggle to Rebuild After Six Months

Maureen Cavanaugh: Six months ago today, San Diego County was ravaged by catastrophic wildfires. High Santa Ana winds whipped firestorms through entire neighborhoods, destroying 1,600 homes, and resulting in the deaths of 10 people. Since then, thousands of homeowners have spent countless hours putting their lives and homes back together. Today, we'll explore how the rebuilding effort has gone so far, and what challenges San Diegans still face.
