Alaska Governor Sarah Palin excited the Republican faithful last night with her first major speech on a national stage.
The vice presidential pick of GOP presidential nominee John McCain spoke at the Republican National Convention in Saint Paul, Minnesota.
After the speech, KPBS spoke with San Diego delegates.
Bruce Thompson of San Diego's 49th Congressional District called Palin's speech a homerun.
He said it showed Senators Barack Obama and Joe Biden lack executive experience.
Thompson: Firing people, hiring people, balancing a budget, trying to figure out where the next paycheck's gonna come -- those are tough decisions. The other two have never had to make those decisions.
John McCain is scheduled to address the delegation tonight as he officially accepts the Republican presidential nomination.
