San Diego County's curve is beginning to flatten as the rate of new COVID-19 cases slows.

San Diego County's curve is beginning to flatten as the rate of new COVID-19 cases slows, according to analysis by Voice of San Diego.

"The new cases data shows us that the curve is flattening, the hospitalizations show us that the curve is flattening and county officials are also saying that the curve is flattening," Voice of San Diego reporter Will Huntsberry said.

The curve is being closely watched because it will help to show how many hospital beds are needed and whether or not that is more than the number of beds available in the county.

Huntsberry has analyzed San Diego County's coronavirus data and joins Midday Edition on Tuesday to discuss where we are at on the all-important curve.
