High-Tech travel options now allow Lindbergh Field passengers to avoid long lines, and go green. Here's how five airlines use Mobile check-in to save trees and travelers' time.

Five airlines at Lindbergh field offer mobile check in from your cell phone.
A bar-code boarding pass is sent to your phone, simply scan the bar-code at security and your boarding gate and you’re good to go.
Local airport security is set up to accept the bar-code boarding pass that is sent to your cell phone says Rob Borucki of NCR Mobile Travel and Gaming, a company that builds kiosks.
“There’s a bar code reader at the security check point, where you show a drivers license, you’ll show your phone bar-code and go through the security just like normal. When you get to the gate you’ll again use the bar code at the gate door.”
The no paper, no problem boarding pass allows you to bypass check-in lines. But, using your smart phone will also get you “smart curb” service at Lindbergh Field, says Katie Jones of San Diego’s Regional Airport Authority.
“You could actually find parking, check in, get through security, stay updated with our construction information and receive valet service all from your cell phone.”
