National City residents will have the opportunity to dispose of large items, like furniture or wood, this weekend.
The group "I Love A Clean San Diego" is hosting the event to provide residents a chance to dispose of large items for free.
It's part of the San Diego Foundation's "clean environment, healthy communities initiative." No hazardous waste will be accepted at the drop-off locations, however.
Residents can drop off items between 8 a.m. and noon this Saturday at El Toyon Recreation Center or Granger Junior High School.
