It was 30 years ago today that ex-Beatle and outspoken anti-war activist John Lennon was killed by a crazed, obsessive "fan" in front of John's New York apartment. I was in college at the time, and a buddy who was in the Army and I were watching "Monday Night Football" when we found out from Howard Cosell, of all people, that John had died.
My friend and I ended up playing Beatles and John Lennon solo records all night. He was an even bigger Beatles fan than me. He knew John was anti-war. Actually, I know a lot of people in the military who were and are huge John Lennon fans. Well, speaking of that tragic night 30 years ago when the world lost a legend, the Newser blog and others are reporting something that is disturbing at best: the album Lennon autographed for his killer, Mark David Chapman, just five hours before Lennon's death is, unbelievably, now up for sale.

So what do you think? Did you like John Lennon? Should this album be auctioned? Kept by police? Destroyed? Put in a museum? I want your opinion.
