Planning to head to the beach with the family on Labor Day weekend? If you live on the base at Camp Pendleton, you might want to get ready to cover the kids' eyes.
First, a little background: the infamous Trail 6 is a small stretch of sand historically embraced by folks who like to wear nothing but a smile to the beach. (Trail 6 is part of San Onofre State Beach and sits next to Camp Pendleton.) And although state officials started citing Trail 6 nudists on Labor Day weekend of 2009, the naked people are still fighting for their rights to be, well, naked.
The San Diego Union-Tribune reports some naturists are trespassing on Camp Pendleton instead of visiting Trail 6, with hopes of not getting noticed, therefore cited. Naturalist Dennis Crane told KNBC-TV:
