Since this morning, Navy SEAL David Goggins has been doing pull-ups, and he plans to keep doing them until he sets the Guinness World Record for most pull-ups in a 24-hour period. He needs to complete 4,021 to beat the record.
Why is Goggins putting himself through such physical agony? To him, it's simple - it's a great way raise money for the Special Operations Warrior Foundation. The non-profit awards full scholarships to the children of fallen service members who served in Special Operations.
Goggins is doing his pull-ups in the TODAY show studio. At this writing, he's completed more than 2,000. To learn more about Goggins' effort, check out the video posted up top.
