Taylor St. Cyr was crushed when she learned her brother, Camp Pendleton Marine Lance Cpl. Shayne St. Cyr, wouldn't be able to make it to her high school graduation in Essex, Vt.
But Shayne, and Taylor's parents, had a major surprise in store for the graduate when she walked across the stage to receive her diploma, according to Vermont television station WCAX-TV.
Shayne told WCAX:
"At first I was told I wouldn't be able to come out here, and when I found out I could I was like why not surprise her. And then I told my mom about it and she came up with all these ideas of what to do and how to do it."
According to the Burlington Free Press, Shayne is also a recent graduate of Essex High School.
