Bush 'Not Satisfied' with Events in Iraq

President Bush concedes during a White House news conference that "many Americans are not satisfied with the situation" in an increasingly violent Iraq.

Despite conceding painful losses, Bush said victory was essential in Iraq as part of the broader war on terror.

The president again rejected "a fixed timetable for withdrawal," calling that idea a sign of "defeat."

Bush said that his administration was pressing the Iraqi government to take more responsibility for its own security.
