Last Day To Register To Vote In June Primary
Today is the last day to register to vote in California’s June 5th primary.
California voters have a chance to decide which Presidential, Congressional and state legislative candidates will move on to the November election.
Voters will also face two propositions on the ballot.
Prop 28 reduces the amount of time a person can serve in the state legislature from 14 to 12 years. Prop 29 increases state taxes on cigarettes a dollar a pack, with revenues dedicated to cancer research.
Residents who haven’t registered can do so on-line at the Secretary of State’s website or can pick up a voter registration form at any post office, library or county elections office.
The forms must be post-marked today in order to vote on June 5th.
