The City of Carlsbad’s popular biennial exhibition is returning to the William D. Cannon Art Gallery in fall 2026, with a theme of “everywhere home.” The exhibition invites artists to explore the many facets of what it is to feel at home, a deeply personal experience that varies for everyone. More than 80 local artists will be featured in the exhibition, showcasing a wide variety of works of art. Think: of the things that will be discarded, outdated or irrelevant in the future. Juror Vallo Riberto is an American independent art curator, educator and fine artist based in San Diego, California. Best known for his extensive academic career and avant-garde art curations, he served as the Director of the Southwestern College Art Gallery and has curated prominent exhibitions across Southern California. Riberto’s foundational knowledge spans studio arts and extensive art history. His academic pedigree includes training at some of the most prestigious art institutions in the United States.
