Emergency Food Distribution at Feeding San Diego
Feeding San Diego is hosting a free, large-scale, emergency food distribution this Saturday, November 8, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at our headquarters in Sorrento Valley (9477 Waples St., Ste. 100, San Diego, CA 92121) to help those impacted by the federal government shutdown. 'Wonder of Oz' Lightshow Spectacular
The grove of towering Norfolk Island Pines on the Founders Lawn is the scene of a dynamic light show orchestrated to an Oz-inspired soundtrack, a brilliant ethereal experience that captivates guests with a finale of snow flurries. Showcased is the Norfolk Pine originally made famous in 1904 as the world’s first electrically lit outdoor Christmas tree. A 12-foot-tall replica of the hotel’s signature red turret complete with holiday lights serves as the focal point of the adjacent bar, surrounded by Victorian-inspired lounge seating for the perfect spot to watch the show.
