The La Jolla United Methodist Church is honored to host the West Point Glee Club for a concert in their sanctuary on Saturday afternoon, April 1, 2023 at 4 P.M. Known for their dynamic choral sound, diversity of repertoire and national prominence, this outstanding organization has touched audiences around the world. Appearances include Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Boston Pops, Opera Orchestra of New York, PBS Affiliates, the Super Bowl and in countless other venues and ceremonial duties. The Glee Club has made numerous recordings and made nationally broadcast television appearances. The concert in La Jolla is free and open to the public. This Cleantech San Diego Education Series event offers an update on the cleantech sector in the San Diego region and the key technologies that will continue to drive the industry. The event will feature a series of panel discussions with industry experts exploring the status of existing technologies, conversations about cleantech policy drivers and what these investments mean for business, a forum for companies and startups to discuss strategies for partnerships, as well as a series of fast-paced pitch presentations from Southern California Energy Innovation Network (SCEIN) CEOs and founders describing their cutting-edge cleantech innovations. The event is free to Cleantech San Diego members and $75 for non-members.

Join the San Diego River Park Foundation this Earth Day weekend, April 21 - 23 to celebrate community, environmental stewardship, and connection to our namesake waterway with a FREE community mural opportunity in San Diego River's 52-acre hidden gem, Mission Valley Preserve. This multi-day event will be held along the San Diego River Bikeway in Cottonwood Grove, just west of the Sefton Park Baseball Fields. The mural will be led by San Diego River Park Foundation staff and volunteers, and the mural will be designed by local artist Helen T Kim. Activities include mural prepping, painting, and light gardening of the surrounding Cottonwood Grove area. We will also offer educational tours of the San Diego River at this time. We are looking for local artists, gardeners, volunteer leaders, families, friends, coworkers, clubs, classes, groups, and YOU help us celebrate the San Diego River with restoration of the Cottonwood Grove area and a new community mural! This event will be free but donations towards the San Diego River Park Foundation will be accepted. Come for a few hours or spend the entire day with us!
