This art class is designed for children ages 5-10 at any level and of all backgrounds. The objective is to engage participants in the culture and heritage of Yiddishland through art. Activities include: – creating art inspired by Yiddish words, music, and stories – exploring art as a form of communication across cultures – finding ways to preserve Yiddish language and culture through art Please note that phones and tablets will not be allowed in the classroom. In this class you will use: Colored pencils, crayons, makers, mixed media, beads. Skills you will learn: Painting, drawing, sketching, basic jewelry making, and book making. He is a finance graduate from San Diego State University. His interests include stock and crypto trading, basketball and snowboarding. Sandra Tucker joined JPMorgan Chase in October 2021 as a relationship banker. Her focus is to ensure clients make the most of their money so they can live life to the fullest. She believes that safety and peace of mind are of utmost importance and equips clients with fraud prevention techniques to keep their money safe. Sandra is a graduate of Arizona State University and has a background in sales and the automotive industry. She’s passionate about her family, the outdoors and the community.

The Museum of Photographic Arts (MOPA) is hosting its 13th annual Human Rights Watch Film Festival from Feb. 2 to 9. On February 2, MOPA will be holding an exclusive screening and reception of "Clarissa's Battle" (2022) by Tamara Perkins. Single mother and organizer Clarissa Doutherd is building a powerful coalition of parents. They’re fighting for childcare and early education funds, desperately needed by low and middle-income parents and children across the United States. Composting on your farm, ranch, or large property is an ideal way to manage crop residues, manures, and other organic waste while creating a stellar soil amendment. During this three-week course, we will address the unique strategies, challenges, and opportunities that arise through medium-scale composting. This course does not address typical residential composting or large-scale commercial composting. It is intended for those mid-sized systems that fall in between, particularly horse ranches and small farms. Course Dates: Saturday, June 10, 10 A.M. – 1:30 P.M. Saturday, June 17, 10 A.M.– 1:30 P.M. Saturday, June 24, 10 A.M. – 1:30 P.M. In this course, we’ll cover the following topics: - Neighbor-friendly composting best management practices, scaled to farms - Compost basics, e.g. recipe considerations, feedstocks, and bulk density - Compost management, e.g. site considerations, odor, dust, and rodent/vector control - What is permissible on farms without permits - Composting/water saving benefits Residents of unincorporated County of San Diego will receive preferential registration. Crisis House has been a landmark multi-service agency located in east San Diego County since 1972. They operate a collective of housing programs for survivors of domestic abuse and their children. Crisis House responds to the needs of 125 of our community’s children in their Camp HOPE program, one-of-a-kind camping and mentorship program that heals the children traumatized by domestic violence in their homes. The Mobile Outreach Team immediately responded to the needs of 677 people experiencing homelessness and connected them to housing and other life-saving resources. In FY 2021- 2022 alone, Crisis House served a total of 5,456 people and ended homelessness for 292 families with 365 children.
