Boo Bash Fall Festival is making its California debut at Mershops North County Mall! Spanning more than 100,000 square feet, this six-week seasonal experience features five distinct zones filled with fall attractions, activities and entertainment for all ages. Guests can explore an immersive pumpkin patch, shop from local food and retail vendors, snap photos among seasonal displays and enjoy a 60-foot pumpkin bounce pad, petting zoo, gemstone panning, children’s racetrack, inflatables, zorb balls, face painting, carnival games and more. Best known for his extensive academic career and avant-garde art curations, he served as the Director of the Southwestern College Art Gallery and has curated prominent exhibitions across Southern California. Riberto’s foundational knowledge spans studio arts and extensive art history. His academic pedigree includes training at some of the most prestigious art institutions in the United States. Intimate Classics returns for its 2026–2027 season with six distinctive concerts bringing world-class artists and great chamber music into the warm, intimate setting of the California Center for the Arts, Escondido. Presented by the San Diego Music Society, the new season spans some of classical music’s most beloved masterworks—from Beethoven, Chopin, Prokofiev and Mussorgsky to Saint-Saëns, Dvořák, Vivaldi and more—performed by internationally acclaimed guest artists alongside outstanding musicians from the San Diego region. The season opens October 4 with internationally renowned pianist Natasha Paremski in a dramatic program featuring Prokofiev’s "Romeo and Juliet," Chopin’s Piano Sonata No. 2 and Mussorgsky’s "Pictures at an Exhibition." On November 8, cellist Paul Tseng and pianist Ching-Ming Cheng present Bridge to the Romantic Era, tracing the musical journey from Beethoven through Saint-Saëns. The series continues in 2027 with pianist and entertainer Julian Gargiulo on January 17; Beethoven Fest on February 28, featuring the Hausmann Quartet and music spanning Beethoven’s extraordinary creative development; Eugene Drucker & Friends on May 30, including Dvořák’s magnificent String Sextet; and the June 20 season finale, Cellobration, bringing together a remarkable ensemble of cellists for music by Vivaldi, Offenbach, Popper and more. The La Jolla Christmas Parade & Holiday Festival returns Sunday, December 6, 2026, for its 70th year with the theme, “A Village Christmas – Celebrating 70 Years of Holiday Tradition.” The beloved La Jolla Christmas Parade begins at 1 p.m. and brings the streets of the Village to life with marching bands, creative floats, equestrian units, vintage vehicles, canine groups, community leaders, local schools, and service organizations. The celebration continues at the La Jolla Recreation Center with the Holiday Festival from 1–5 p.m., featuring arts & crafts, hands-on educational activities, robotics and technology, community groups, local animal rescues, games, live music and performances, pony rides, bouncy houses, face painting, and a special visit with Santa following the parade. New for 2026, the Village Christmas Market will feature local makers, artisans, small businesses, and vendors, offering a festive shopping experience as part of this year’s celebration. Sounds by the Sea, the festival’s live music and performing arts component, will feature performances throughout the afternoon on the Recreation Center lawn.
