Known for their sophisticated interpretations of the American popular songbook and jazz standards, their performances are often highlighted by Charlap’s elegant and nuanced piano playing, Peter Washington’s solid and melodic bass lines, and Kenny Washington’s sensitive and swinging drumming. A notable performance aspect is their deep musical rapport and intuitive interplay, honed over decades of collaboration. Their latest recording, "And Then Again," released in 2024 on Blue Note Records, was captured live at the Village Vanguard and showcases their continued evolution with inspired renditions of classics and compositions by jazz masters like Kenny Barron.
