Join us in crafting your very own signature scent under the guidance of our in-house French Perfume Designer, Jil Croquet. This workshop is an enjoyable three-hour session where you’ll dive into the art of perfume-making. From uncovering composition secrets to the sheer joy of smelling and blending scents, you’ll gain hands-on experience while learning the basics of fragrance design techniques. All the materials and tools you need are provided and included in the workshop fee. With a carefully curated selection of essential oils, we’ll explore this hidden world together. You’ll leave with your own personalized travel spray as a delightful keepsake of our aromatic journey. Come, let’s discover the captivating world of perfumery! This workshop is perfect for ages 14 and up, so grab a friend or come solo and let’s create some magic together!   • Ages 5-12. Students in this course will build essential sewing skills using both hand-sewing techniques and the sewing machine. Over six weeks, they’ll learn safety practices, stitching basics, machine navigation, and troubleshooting while growing confident in their technical abilities. As they explore idea development and practice foundational skills, students will create both functional and decorative pieces.   • Learn Block Printing on Fabric! Thursday, July 16, 6-8:30 p.m. Learn the process of block printing on fabric in this beginner-friendly 2.5 hour workshop! Led by local-artist and printmaker Kasey Leung, you’ll be guided step-by-step through designing, carving, and hand-printing your very own original block. Use it to create a custom tote bag or tea towel in class – perfect for everyday use or a thoughtful handmade gift. We’ll explore simple pattern-building and placement techniques to help bring your design to life on fabric. The emphasis is on process over perfection, with plenty of room to experiment and enjoy making with your hands. No experience needed and all materials are provided. Feel free to come to class with ideas, inspiration, or printed reference images for printing – just keep in mind that your design will need to fit within a 4×6 inch block. You’ll leave with a finished textile piece and your carved block to take home, so you can keep printing and creating long after the workshops ends! Please note there is a materials fee of $5 paid directly to the instructor at the beginning of class.
