Taking place Sunday, May 3 from 12–2 p.m., the event invites families to explore La Jolla’s vibrant public art scene through a self-guided mini mural tour, complete with a downloadable map, scavenger hunt, music, and hands-on activities at each stop. Shaded stations will also feature mural highlights and additional information for those who want to keep exploring beyond the event. The afternoon includes a hands-on workshop led by Kaori Fukuyama, as well as a separate collaborative mural where guests of all ages can contribute to a shared community artwork. Along with Murals of La Jolla, La Jolla Historical Society is also working with Songs4Smiles, a student-run nonprofit of students from the San Diego Youth Symphony, to provide live music to eventgoers. Families can also enjoy lawn games, creative play, and food available for purchase, making it a lively and welcoming way to experience La Jolla’s outdoor gallery.
