  • In this 2.5-hour introductory workshop, students are provided with a wooden spoon blank to power carve. The instructor will cover safety, basic carving techniques, and spoon design fundamentals. Functional and decorative spoons are fun to use and display! The instructor will share her tips on achieving beautiful curves within a design. This workshop is designed to teach you how to safely craft your own spoon through power carving. Material fee: $5 payable to the instructor at the start of the workshop. This is an introductory workshop in Power Carving. Another intro class offered is Intro to Power Carving | Sculptural Art. Once an intro class has been taken, students are invited to explore Intermediate Power Carving with Intermediate Power Carving | Carving a Bowl. This class is appropriate for ages 18 and older.
