Autumn’s shorter days and longer nights bring an end to summer gardens and the beginning of the second harvest. For our gathering, we’ll meet at City Farmers Nursery where we’ll wander the acre-plus of plants, fruit trees, vegetables, and flowers, and commune with the animals that reside there—chickens, goats, rabbits, donkeys, and more. After our time of meandering the verdant pathways, taking notes, observing, responding, and interacting, we’ll gather at Nate’s Garden Grill, where we’ll treat ourselves to something delicious and write about our experience and the wonders of the turn turn turn of the seasons. Bring your writing materials, wear comfortable clothing (it may be warm, as September can be in San Diego), and walking shoes. Retreat fee does not include refreshments at Nate’s Garden Grill.
