"Miracle", the original holiday-themed pop-up cocktail bar concept, is thrilled to return for the 2025 season. Featuring festive original cocktails, over-the-top decorations, and exciting new mug designs to bring the holiday season to life, this year promises to be one of the best yet. "Sippin’ Santa," created by Jeff “Beachbum” Berry, is the tropical offshoot of the famed Miracle pop up bar, the original holiday cocktail bar concept. As in year’s past, the famed mugs and glassware will be available for purchase at all participating bars nationwide. Kicking off November through January, "Miracle" locations in Temecula, Solvang, San Diego, Hermosa Beach, Los Angeles, and Anaheim will feature a holiday oasis with over the top kitschy, festive décor and a themed cocktail menu with fan favorites such as the "Christmapolitan" and "Snowball Old-Fashioned." New this year are "Candy Cane Lane," "Dancing Sugarplums," "Blitzen Barrel," and "Miracle Mouse." Step into the holiday magic at "Miracle" at Coaster Saloon! A California company is using AI to help diagnose homeless Californians. The technology promises better access to health care, but it also raises questions.

"Because We Eat - How Growing Our Food Affects Farmworkers" is a multimedia installation by Antonia Davis that shines a light on the invisible labor behind the food we consume. The centerpiece of the installation is a dining table with a quilted and embroidered tablecloth. Engraved place settings and chairs each tell a story of a farmworker, highlighting the physical, emotional, and social costs of the work that produces the food that sustains us all. Every stitch and detail embodies respect for the resilience, endurance, and dignity of farmworkers. This work asks us to honor their struggles, to acknowledge the fruits of their labor and to see our shared humanity in the act of eating. Davis is a lifelong artivist whose creative practice is rooted in amplifying the voices of marginalized communities. Since 2003, Davis has worked at the intersection of art and social justice, co-founding the San Diego Puppet Insurgency to provide visual storytelling and art builds to grassroots organizations, student groups, and local social movements. This exhibition was previously installed at Centro Cultural de la Raza (March - May 2024) and the Chicano Park Museum (May - October 2024). This installation calls viewers to partake in interactive reflection and it continues to grow through community engagement. Join us for an evening with renowned artist Nick Cave, whose multidisciplinary practice spans sculpture, installation, performance, and video. Best known for his celebrated Soundsuits, elaborate full-body sculptures that merge art, fashion, and social commentary, Cave creates work that speaks to issues of identity, race, and healing. His work "Rescue," from the Museum’s permanent collection, is currently on view in the Art of the Americas galleries, offering audiences a chance to experience his practice firsthand. The program will begin with a talk by the artist reflecting on his body of work, followed by a conversation-style interview and an audience Q&A.
