Project Seismic, a San Diego bass music collective, is bringing the community together for a completely donation-based fundraiser show, where 100% of the proceeds go towards supporting the non-profit "End Overdose," with its life-saving work in opioid overdose prevention, education, and resource distribution. Taking place at Break Point PB in Pacific Beach on 1/27/24, the event is completely sustained from donations, including production (lights, sound, and visuals) as well as sets from artists like headliner "Hekler," who recently performed at Escape Festival in San Bernardino and Creamfields Festival in China.

The 8-acre bike course at Bradley Park in San Marcos includes a pump track, a perimeter trail and jump lines for all skill levels, from beginners to advanced.

America's Finest City Half Marathon and 5K is one of San Diego's fastest and most scenic half marathons. Run from the Cabrillo National Monument atop the tip of Point Loma, along San Diego Bay, Harbor Island, Embarcadero, past the Star of India, through downtown San Diego to an unforgettable finish in historic Balboa Park. America's Finest City Half Marathon and 5K is a part of the In Motion Events SoCal Triple Crown race series, which also includes the Carlsbad Marathon, Half Marathon and 5K, and the GOVX San Diego Half Marathon and 5K. This trio offers a variety of course layouts and scenery, providing athletes with a fun and unique running experience in distinct parts of San Diego city and county. Athletes who participate in each race in the same calendar year, no matter the distance they participate in, will be awarded a SoCal Triple Crown medal to celebrate their accomplishment of completing the race series. Runners simply register for all three events separately, no additional registration or fee is required to qualify for the SoCal Triple Crown finisher award. California lawmakers have abandoned their attempt to repeal the nation's only law requiring voter approval for publicly funded affordable housing projects.

Audiences will experience the return of Noel as she and her friends search for Santa and the magic that he brings with the season. New to this year’s performance will be featured guest vocalist Devin DeSantis. It’s a program full of Christmas classics, sing-alongs, holiday cheer and jolly spirit. The concert will be led once again by the artistic tour-de-force team consisting of celebrated guest conductor Christopher Dragon and Director Jonathan Gilmer, and it features the return of the San Diego Symphony Orchestra, San Diego Master Chorale and the San Diego Children’s Choir. Special Holiday-themed treats and drinks will be available for purchase in the Prebys Plaza! The Shalimar Flute Quartet will perform Silver Sounds, a performance of light classical and holiday favorites at the Del Mar Library, on Saturday, December 16 at 1 p.m. Music highlights include Selections from the Nutcracker, Carol of the Bells, Hanukkah Suite, A Gaelic Offering, and Divertimento-Jazz, among others. The Shalimar Flute Quartet is a group of talented flutists and friends who enjoy playing a wide variety of music written for various combinations of C flute, piccolo, alto and bass flute. Members of the quartet have performed in a variety of musical groups and venues. The concert is free and open to the public.
