Gen. David Petraeus, nominated to lead U.S. efforts in Afghanistan, told the Senate Armed Services Committee he supports President Obama's exit strategy but noted that he would recommend delaying a large-scale withdrawal if security conditions are untenable. Obama has called for drawing down troops starting in July 2011.
