The one solo exhibition opens with a reception for the artist Saturday March 7 from 5 to 8 p.m. Richard Allen Morris stands as one of San Diego's most influential and enduring contemporary artists, with a remarkable career spanning over six decades from the early 1960s to the present day. His forthcoming exhibition, "Paintings and Mixed Media Works from the Early 1960's to the Present," offers a rare, comprehensive look at the evolution of an artist whose work has consistently challenged conventions while maintaining a distinctive visual language unmistakably his own. Born with an innate curiosity about the possibilities of paint and form, Morris emerged during a pivotal moment in American art history. While the art world of the 1960s was dominated by Pop Art and Minimalism, Morris carved out his own territory, developing a unique approach that synthesized elements of abstraction, figuration, and architectural space. His early works from this period already demonstrated the sophisticated color sensibility and compositional rigor that would become hallmarks of his mature style.

Easter Egg Hunt at Fit Social at Belmont Park Sunday, April 5, 2026 Time: 1:00–3:00 PM Location: Fit Social at Belmont Park Price: $10 per participating child Registration: https://www.belmontpark.com/?keyword=events Fit Social will host a family-friendly Easter Egg Hunt presented by Ralphs Grocery, featuring four timed rounds divided by age group. Hunt Schedule: 1:00 PM – Ages 2–6 1:30 PM – Ages 7–12 2:00 PM – Ages 2–6 2:30 PM – Ages 7–12 Each round is limited to 40 children per age group. Golden eggs hidden throughout each hunt will include special prizes such as wristbands and food and beverage gift cards. The Easter experience will also include a Pizza Port stand, popcorn, Dippin’ Dots cart, cotton candy, and a coloring and craft table. Fit Social will be open for regular service from 11 a.m. to sunset. The egg hunt area is reserved for registered children only, with parents and guardians invited to watch from designated viewing areas at no cost.
