  • Make your own custom T-shirt in a day! Sunday, June 28, from 1-5 p.m. In this workshop you will learn the differences between knits and the techniques and equipment needed to sew on them. You will put these skills and tools to use by completing a personal T-shirt to take home. Students will also receive an instructional handout to take home with sewing tips for sewing with and on knits. Please note, if bringing your own sewing machine, it is very important to make sure it is fully functional before class. REQUIREMENT: If you are new to using a sewing machine, you must take Family & Beginner Sewing 101 & Family & Beginner Sewing 102 first. In order to enroll in this class, a student must know how to thread and use a/their sewing machine, have a basic understanding of fabric cutting and iron pressing techniques, and be comfortable with beginner sewing techniques. All materials are included.   • Create your own fun egg tray! Mondays, July 20 & August 3, from 6-8:30 p.m. Ages 15+ welcome! In this 2-part series, students will learn the basics of handbuilding to create functional and fun pieces. Working with mid-fire clay, we will explore handbuilding forms and decorative techniques to create a one-of-a-kind ceramic egg tray. Students will create and build their piece in the first class and glaze their creations in the second class. Students will learn the art of glazing, with many decorative techniques. Students will be able to utilize a wide array of glazes and colors in this course. Beginners welcome! All materials provided. Additional optional materials available via the instructor for a fee.
