"Freaky Friday: A New Musical" is based on the Disney Theatrical Productions stage adaptation and the 2018 Disney Channel Original Movie of "Freaky Friday," and its popularity is immense in the theatre world. In its first three days of airing on the Disney Channel, it was the number one telecast of the summer for kids and tweens. On stage, theatrical productions see overwhelming popularity with families across the country at sold out performances. "Freaky Friday: A New Musical" follows an overworked mother, Katherine, and her spontaneous teenage daughter, Ellie, who magically swap bodies the day before Katherine's wedding. Forced to walk in each other's shoes, they discover the hidden struggles of the other's life, ultimately mending their fractured relationship in a heart-warming production with a talented cast of fun characters and toe-tapping musical production numbers.
